🗳 Voters have delivered Anthony Albanese “a win for the ages” that should see Labor with more seats than at any point in its history.
Now Labor's confirmed, what will they do for Australia? Here's some housing policies:
- Stopping foreign housing investment for 2 years
- No changes to negative gearing
- Build 100,000 homes and sell at cost to First Home Buyers (good luck snagging one of these!)
- Expand the Help To Buy scheme (shared equity with Government)
- Expanded 5% deposit for all First Home Buyers
- $1.5B for infrastructure boost
.. among other things related to developers, apprentices, and the construction industry.
👍 NOTE: INTEREST RATES: The Federal Government does not influence interest rates, that's independently controlled by the Reserve Bank, who will be meeting in a couple of weeks for their next decision - stay tuned!
